To my friends and family not of my faith, please take two minutes to watch this video. It explains what my son, Elder Muller, along with more than 88,000 young men and woman from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are doing around the world at this very moment. They have sacrificed 18 months for Sisters, to 24 months for Elders, of their young lives to bring the world the truth of Jesus Christ and his restored gospel. The majority of them have worked to save the nearly $10,000 it costs to pay for their missions. They have put their educations on hold, they have put being young 18, 19, 20 & 21 your old carefree kids on hold, they have left their families to go to places far away, to work from 6.30 AM to 10.30 PM, to love and serve people they do not know, to love and serve people whom may not even want them near. They encounter ridicule and and negativity on a daily basis. Having doors closed/slammed in their faces, being laughed at and told "No" over and over. It is not an easy thing to do. They miss their families, their families miss them. But these young men and women will change lives, and their lives will be changed forever. Be kind to them when you see them. Somewhere there is a mother missing her child! Today, please be that one person who will be kind to my child!
